Midwest Young Artists: Voices Rising
Founded in 1993 with a single orchestra and fifty-five students, Midwest Young Artists has grown over the last two decades to an organization that enriches the lives of over 1,000 students annually through its 8 orchestras, comprehensive Jazz program, 4 choral ensembles, 65+ chamber ensembles, national concerto & chamber music competitions, a wind symphony, early childhood music & movement program, music theory courses, masterclasses, and community outreach activities. MYA provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students to thrive musically and socially while learning valuable life skills. Recently, MYA has earned a top rating from Great Non Profits and a Trusted Partner designation from Guidestar, cementing its position as the leading pre-college music school in the Midwest, if not the nation.
